Since opening our doors in 2004, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar has been a leader and change-maker in higher education in Qatar. As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we reflect on the significant impact our community of students, graduates, faculty, and staff has made over the past two decades.

In November 2024, we celebrated two decades at a joyful event in our building in Education City.

Carnegie Mellon University set its own course with programs that inspire creativity and collaboration. In 2004, CMU began a partnership with Qatar Foundation to bring this unique educational experience to the Middle East.
